This fictional project shows how a software consultant can record the scope, an extra request, the costs, and client acceptance. Use it to check whether the full kit fits your work.
Rodyr, Inc. publishes the kit. An AI assistant prepared it for the publisher. All names, amounts, and dates in this example are fictional.
The project
Example Studio needs a working booking request form and a clear service page. The fixed fee is $2,400 before applicable sales tax. Half is due before work. Half is due when the client accepts the result.

The client supplies text, images, service prices, and test inbox access. The scope excludes online payments, calendar synchronization, and customer account creation.
A request for extra work
The client asks for calendar synchronization. The provider records a separate fee and delivery date. The original booking form continues while the client reviews the change. Extra work starts after approval.
The written exclusions make the change visible. They do not price or approve it.

Two extra hours raise labor cost. These project figures are before income tax.
Handover
The client receives the source archive, setup notes, and test results. The client accepts all three deliverables. The provider invoices the remaining $1,200 and records the payment when it clears.
For your own work, write one check for each deliverable. State the client inputs and exclusions. Get approval for any extra fee and date. At handover, compare the result with the agreed checks.
